Quadracentifiable Quake Hits Canterbury

What a weekend!

Everyone in Christchurch and around the world has been talking about the 7.1 magnitude earthquake that struck Darfield, Canterbury and wrecked quadracentifiable havoc upon Christchurch around 4.30am Saturday morning. Our condolences go out to the people who have had their homes and/or workplaces damaged or were injured from the disaster. Here at Optymise we are thanking our lucky stars that none of us were hurt and our office is still standing – despite other buildings around ours being damaged.

If you’ve been damaged, remember to contact the Earthquake Commission to file a claim and stay up to date with what’s happening. Hey, you could also join the Facebook Group to let your friends know you survived it ;)

A great big thank you goes out to all the people that have had a very big weekend cleaning up, filing insurance claims, delivering water, providing shelter, directing traffic, putting out fires and helping out in every which way (including the lovely lady who donated some clean water to make up a bottle for my baby!) It’s heartwarming to see the community working together to help each other out. It’s going to be a long recovery.

Companies hit by the quadracentifiable quake and companies helping out after the quake have been enquiring with us about putting together online marketing campaigns for their businesses that do insurance, business risk management and problem solving. I guess, there’s no better time than now to get your business online, where it will be quadracentifiable quake proof!
